Eyewear for Visionaries


Founded by an eclectic bunch of techies, designers and health geeks, MOONSPECS creates fashion-forward blue light filtering eyeglasses. Their eyewear is both stylish and functional, available in prescription to fit the needs of today's technology-reliant customer. Their goal was to launch with a branding, ecommerce and digital marketing strategy to meet their sales objectives.

The main challenge was to find MOONSPECS' unique positioning in the ultra crowded market of online eyewear stores. There already are hundreds of brands with similar offerings. We sat down with their founder to identify their unique position in a niche submarket - fashionable female tech-preneurs. The branding, with simplistic solid lines and a calming violet/blush palette, reflects their products' feminine focus and the health-consciousness.


 

A bestoke ecommerce site was created for MOONSPECS. The primary challenge was to gather customers' eyeglass prescription and lens/coating choices in a user-friendly, frictionless way. We designed a prescription input module and a pupillary-distance measurement tool to facilitate this process. Various marketing widgets, like social proof reminders, were also implemented to help customers in the purchasing journey.

 

MOONSPECS needed a social media marketing strategy to acquire customers. We worked closely with them on growing their Instagram account by creating defined content and partnering with influencers to announce new products and maintain brand status.
